Become an Official

Tri-Star Sports Officials is now hiring Sports Officials, Umpires, and Referees for a variety of different youth sports programs throughout all of Arizona! Training is also available!

The process to become a youth Sports Official is very easy and the work is both fun and rewarding!

Our youth Sports Officials are eligible to officiate in elementary school, middle school, and recreational league sports programs such as tackle football, flag football, boys and girls basketball, boys baseball, girls softball, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls volleyball and wrestling. Our Sports Officials who are at the top of their game are eligible to officiate high school and college level games as well.

The starting pay ranges between $25 to $40 per game for elementary school and middle school games, with most games taking about 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. The starting pay for High school games is usually $70 a game, with most games taking about an hour and forty-five minutes to complete.

All of our Sports Officials who are over the age of 18 must obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety. As a youth Sports Official, you will be able to work while waiting on the Fingerprint Clearance Card, but you must send us a copy of your AZDPS Application with the application number on the top right hand side.
